The estate’s top wine, Renard Mondesir, is a full-bodied blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) that will benefit from a bit of aging… just like a top Pomerol. An intense purple-garnet colored wine with an intriguing nose of ripe blackberries, earth, and mocha-tinged fruit. This full-bodied red Bordeaux is supple, rich and seductive with concentrated plum and berry fruit complementing its lean structure. Quite a long finish on smooth tannins, this wine will develop through 2012. Accompanies grilled red meat, roasts, veal or fine cheeses.”
